5 THINGS TO EXPECT FROM… THE BOOT ROOM ON TOUR.
Those of you familiar with our Camden flagship store will already be aware of our music venue – The Boot Room. With music running through our veins at Dr. Martens; opening our own live music space was a natural decision, allowing us to host some of our favourite artists. From punk to pop, hip-hop to hardcore; the diverse list of artists who have performed legendary free shows at the DMs Boot Room include IDLES, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Alma, Ho99o9 and The Big Moon amongst a whole host of other bands, DJs, rappers and solo artists.
This summer we will be taking our passion for all things loud, exciting and inspiring, out on the road as we take The Boot Room On Tour. Our specially built pop-up stage will replicate the intimacy of the unique London venue to create an exhilarating destination for music fans at Live at Leeds, Camden Rocks and Field Day.
To get you in the mood for the exciting festival season ahead, here are five things you can expect from The Boot Room On Tour:
1. THE MUSIC
The Boot Room venue in London is all about experiencing world-class artists in an intimate setting, so our on-the-road version will continue this ethos by offering festival goers the opportunity to get up close and personal with an exciting line-up of live acts. There will be secret sets and special performances from artists on the main festival bill, alongside the very best in emerging and underground talent. Every performance at The Boot Room is sure to be a memorable one, so be sure to stop by regularly as you never know who will turn up!
2. THE PHOTOBOOTH
When you’re at a festival your fancy smart phone battery won’t last long with all those photos, selfies, videos and Instagram posts you want to share (unless you’re packing a ‘90s Nokia brick phone) but you still want to capture those essential festival moments and memories. DM’s have you covered, just head for the DMs Boot Room photo booth where you can create your own album cover gif and take away a print out sticker of your favourite image.
3. INTERVIEWS & TALKS
If you want to get up close and personal with some of your favourite bands, artists and industry figureheads then be sure to check out some of the exciting Q+A interviews and talks that we will be hosting at The Boot Room On Tour festival pop-ups.
4. EXCLUSIVE WORKSHOPS
If you’ve always wanted to be the person in control of the dance floor then this is your chance to learn from the best. Look out for our DJ Workshops where some of the countries finest will demonstrate the art of song selection, beat mixing and how to win over a crowd.
