THE DM’S BOOT ROOM SO FAR
Our brand-spanking new DM’s Boot Room has now been open for a few months and is in full swing. Celebrating emerging artists and showcasing a range of talent with a distinct DIY attitude across everything from rock, indie and grime to punk, the intimate gig space has hosted some amazing gigs, DJ sets and performances from your favourite artists. For those who missed the gigs, or want to play it all over again, we’ve partnered with Mixcloud to curate the space and create podcasts from the events. There’s also a fully stocked fridge thanks to the guys from Jack Daniels whiskey and Brew Dog beer.
Over the past few months we’ve had explosive performances from Mykki Blanco, Bakar, The Orielles and Warpaint. But it doesn’t end there, check out the latest DM’s Boot Room listings including Keash Braids, Nova Twins and Rejjie Snow. You can catch the full list of gigs here.
In the meantime, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite moments from the first few months here at DM’s Boot Room. Were you there?
Listen again here.
MYKKI BLANCO
We ended May with an electric performance by Mykki Blanco.
Who tore the house down with his high energy set.
You can catch a video of his performance here.
BAKAR, DANIEL OG
Bakar proved Indie music isn’t dead.
Followed by his friend Daniel OG, East-London rapper and producer.
THE ORIELLES
At the end of June we had Yorkshire-based newbies The Orielles in the DM’s Boot Room.
In the midst of all these bands come the great Mixcloud DJ’s. These guys are here every weekend.
WARPAINT
Warpaint were the latest band to grace the Boot Room with their musical presence.
Their captivating performance was lapped-up by the audience.
Of course it doesn’t end here. We’ve got plenty more acts to come…
