DR. MARTENS SPEAKS TO ANTEROS
With 2016 being a success under Anteros’ belt, we caught up with indie-pop four piece to discover more about what this years has to come. From releasing their new single ‘Drunk‘, touring with White Lies and releasing an E.P., find out everything below…

For those who don’t know Anteros, how would you sum yourselves up in a sentence?
A travelling circus of Bitter Dream Pop.
You’ve just released your new single ‘Drunk’, can you talk us through the inspiration for this?
This is a true story. The events depicted in this video took place in London last year. At the request of the survivor, the names have been changed. Out of respect for the Drunk, the rest has been told exactly as it occurred.

What can we expect from your upcoming E.P, released April 14th?
We’re so happy to be putting out an EP of tracks we’ve recorded altogether. The last EP, Breakfast, was mostly demos. We’d re-recorded parts, etc… but we hadn’t had the chance to go into a studio and record the E.P. as a whole. We feel like this E.P. represents our sound and the direction we want to take it in.
Tell us about your first pair of Dr. Martens:
Laura: My first school shoes were Dr Martens. Everyone would wear moccasins, I’d have my DMs on.
Josh: I inherited my dad’s cherry red DMs when I was 16.
Jackson: My leopard print Hawley’s. I’ve worn them pretty much every day since I got them last year.
Harry: I got the Crazy Horses for Glastonbury last year. I wore them through the muddiest Glasto in 50 years (they survived).

List three tracks you can’t get enough of:
1. Fire That Burns – Circa Waves
2. Green Light – Lorde
3. Orthodox Man – BLAENAVON
What’s your favourite thing about the city you live in?
London is our home city (collectively). It’s a great hub for music and arts.

What are you most excited for about the year ahead?
This year has already been so exciting already. Two Door and White Lies tours, BLAENAVON tour in April, our E.P. release, The London E.P. launch party at The Sebright Arms (April 27th), festival season… we feel excited pretty much everyday.
And finally, what do you stand for?
Peace, love, equality and good vibes.
