For those who don’t know The KVB, how would you sum yourselves up in a sentence?
Immersive, hypnotic and atmospheric.

Can you talk us through some of the inspiration behind your music?
Musically, we are inspired by a variety of genres across decades such as Fad Gadget, Love, Mica Levi, Death in Vegas and Spacemen 3. Visually, we are influenced by our research into bodily affect and the haptic connection between the body and screen.

What drew you into playing at Paris Psych Fest this year?
We are very happy to be invited back, Paris has always been one of our favourite cities to play and the Psych Fest has grown to be one of the best events of its kind, so we’re expecting a good night!

Name three tracks you can’t get enough of right now:
1. Froth ‘Contact’
2. Mueran Humanos ‘Un Lugar Ideal’
3. Los Destellos ‘Guajira Sicodelica’

What’s your favourite thing about the city you live in?
It can be as hectic or as relaxed as you want it to be.

What advice would you give someone trying to break into your industry?
Be as independent / autonomous as possible and stick to your ideals.

What are you most excited about for the year ahead?
Finishing our next record and continuing to play all over the world.

Tell us about your first pair of Dr. Martens:
Our first pairs are matching – Dr Martens Covent Garden store gave us both a pair when we still lived in London and we still have them now in Berlin. They still look new and are practically immortal.

And finally, what do you stand for?
Curiosity & pleasure.
