We’re returning to Austin, Texas for SXSW 2018 and bringing you three days of unforgettable performances. See the lineup and RSVP here.

If you’re attending SXSW this month, you probably have your outfits already planned. But what about your nails? We’ve got you sorted: introducing Meghann Rosales, the owner and sole artist at the Austin-based nail studio Nails Y’all. We asked her to create a few designs that are SXSW-ready — and Meghann chose to create three looks that are an ode to the city she loves: the famous “I Love You So Much” mural, a Texas sunset, and spinning records. To top it all off, Meghann incorporated some Austin staples into her photos; Graffiti Park, chips and queso, and Willie Nelson records. See the looks below.

Meghann wears the Ariel in Black.
Where are you from, and what brought you to Austin?

I was raised in Houston, Texas but I’ve been in Austin off and on since 2001. I left periodically but I always came back, and I’ve stayed put for the last 9 years. It’s easy to live here — the people are nice.

Meghann wears the Myles Charro.
Do you enjoy SXSW? What’s your favourite part?

It’s my favorite of Austin’s festivals! I love riding my bike and popping into venues for music and tacos all day long. I also love that pretty much everywhere becomes a venue: grocery stores, churches, parking lots you’ve never noticed.

Meghann wears the Vegan Blaire.
What festival style trends are you seeing this year?

I’m seeing a lot of negative space and geometric designs on nails. Folks are going for minimal chic and I couldn’t be more into it!

Any advice for first time SXSW-goers?

You could spend all day waiting in line and miss out on amazingly talented up-and-comers in spaces that are impossibly cool and memorable. Be open!

Heading to SXSW? Us too! Check out our lineup and RSVP here.
