On Saturday 1st April 2017, Dr. Martens joins forces with 2Q Festival for a day of music buzz in Derby’s City centre. Following a successful first year in 2016, this year it boasts more venues, music and capacity. With Milburn headlining, and the likes of Pulled Apart By Horses, VANT and Black Honey set to take the stage, 2Q is not a festival to be missed.
To celebrate we are also giving away x5 pairs of VIP tickets for the festival. For a chance to win these tickets, visit the Dr. Martens Derby Store to sign up.*
*T&C’s Apply. See in-store for further details.
We caught up with the guys in charge of running 2Q to find out more about the festival, who to look out for and what they stand for, below…
What is 2Q?
2Q is Derby’s first multi-venue live music festival. The festival brings a host of established, breaking and local acts into the City for a massive day and evening of live music.
2016 was your first year – what was your biggest highlight?
There’s a lot of highlights from last year, including watching the very first band come on stage at Bar One, knowing that the event had finally gone live; catching some brilliant bands on the day such as Seafret, Eliza and the Bear James Walsh amongst many others, and the amazing feedback we received after the festival!
What’s different this year?
The difference in 2017 is that we are much bigger and better! We have added 5 new venues, increased the size of the event from 1,200 people to over 2,000 and the lineup is looking even more incredible than last year.
Name three acts you’re looking forward to the most:
Looking forward to catching Toy, Vant and Black Honey amongst many, many others.
What do you stand for?
2Q is all about celebrating live music in Derby, its brilliant venues and the hard work those involved in promoting live music in the City put into it.
