Having already collaborated with some of Japan’s finest brands such as BAPE, United Arrows, UNDERCOVER, mastermind WORLD, NEIGHBORHOOD and BEAMS, Hiroshi Fujiwara has created his first pair of DM’s.
Dubbed the ‘godfather of streetwear’, Fujiwara pioneered the Ura-Harajuku fashion movement and is considered one of the most influential and important figureheads in street culture today. His brand, fragment design, is a platform for collaborations and has seen high profile partnerships in the world of fashion, footwear, lifestyle accessories and luxury goods.
Teasing the collaboration in his own column on the ‘Ring of Colour’ blog, the style visionary announced that he has been personally wear-testing his DM’s for almost a year and perfecting his ideal shoe. The result is the fragment design x Dr. Martens Hollingborn which sees Fujiwara rework the classic 5-eye postman shoe in sleek black patent leather.
Fine details such as the fragment double lightning bolt logo embossed at the heel, a dual-branded sock logo, a smoke grey AirWair™ sole and tonal welt stitching complete the premium package.
Each pair of the limited edition collaboration footwear is MADE IN ENGLAND at the original Dr. Martens factory and handcrafted by a close-knit team of experts using only the finest materials. Everything, down to the bespoke dual-branded box, feels luxurious.
Destined to become a future classic, the exclusive fragment collaboration is available to shop now.
