DR. MARTENS X KENT & CURWEN
Kent & Curwen is a British heritage brand that has been setting the tone for menswear since 1926. Far more than a legacy label, they continue to evolve and adapt their offering. Today, the brand’s new creative director Daniel Kearns designs clothes to appeal to the modern man, with stylistic elements that reflect a rich sartorial history. This season we’ve partnered with Kent & Curwen on an exciting two-piece collaboration.
Dr. Martens also understand the importance of staying relevant from generation to generation, so the creative union really made sense. Like us, Kent & Curwen champion counter-culture so the boots we created are heavily influenced by the looks of the 70s and 80s.
The starting point was a pair of our vintage 1490s. Taking this idea, we crafted boots from a smooth leather and gave them a ‘worn-in’ look.
The boots are crafted in a lightly-scuffed oxblood leather.
And we’ve also made them in a black leather with contrasting buckle detail. Both boots feature our iconic welt-stitch (yellow for the oxblood boots, oxblood for the black boots) and scripted heel-loop.
These boots are both retro and timeless. While the distressed leather may give them a vintage feel, they are fully intended for a contemporary wardrobe. Lace them up with your street-wear or clashing separates and take it all in your stride.
