DR. MARTENS X LAZY OAF 2019
In 2017 we worked with eclectic London fashion label Lazy Oaf, on a Jungle Boot and a reworked version of our classic 1461 shoe. The collaboration was so popular that it sold out on the first day of release and is already deemed a cult classic.
In what has to be one of the most highly anticipated collaborations of the year, we are excited to finally announce that we’ve teamed up for a third time with Lazy Oaf on an exclusive new collection for SS19.
Founded in 2001 by designer Gemma Sheil, Lazy Oaf started as a small hand-screen printed t-shirt stall in East London’s Spitalfields Market, and now the independent British streetwear label is a global sensation with over 250 stockists worldwide. Driving irreverence into everything it does, the brand creates pieces that play on a weird and warped sense of humour. Inspired by youth nostalgia, teenage rebellion and a sense of apathy towards conforming to the norm, Lazy Oaf makes for a perfect partnership with DM’s.
The brand new Dr. Martens x Lazy Oaf collection is made up of two Buckle Creepers, that come in a pink and a classic white version, with heart buckle fastening and Lazy Oaf’s signature pink heart motif.
The next piece in the collection is the Buckle Boot, top-to-toe smooth black leather, and fastened with a zip and heart-buckle strap. The same signature Lazy Oaf heart is seen on the tongue of the boot and the heel.
Next up? The Vegan Sandal; all dressed in black and featuring Lazy Oaf’s signature pink heart motif across the straps. While each style is built on classic Docs DNA, it’s the bespoke features and unique Lazy Oaf styling that make these stand out from the crowd.
