DR. MARTENS X VETEMENTS
For SS17 we’re extremely proud to unveil our debut collaboration with Parisian fashion collective, and the hottest thing in fashion right now, Vetements. The partnership comes about because of the shared ethos between DM’s and Vetements. We’re both non-conformist, innovative, and want to redefine established thinking. Something we did back in the 60s with the introduction of the then revolutionary AirWair sole, and Vetements are now doing by democratising the fashion cycle, making fashion more accessible and immediate.
Drawing on our decades of expert craftsmanship and fusing the traditional with Vetements cutting-edge, urban aesthetic, the resulting pair of fierce, deconstructed boots nods to the industrial heritage of Dr. Martens while being truly contemporary.
The iconic 1490 ten-eye Dr. Martens boot was first made popular by punks in the 1970s. Vetements have worked their stylistic magic and subverted the boot which is engineered from a worn-in leather, and tumbled using specialist machinery to mimic the look of a well-loved vintage pair of boots. Instead of laces, the tongue is stitched to the body of the boot for a utilitarian look, and a zip to the side allows for ease of entry—function over form—a touch-point for both brands.
The boots are finished with the text BORDER LINE to the reverse in white block capitals. BORDER LINE refers to how Vetements bridges the gap between high fashion and street fashion. This is teamed with Dr. Martens patented AirWair™ technology for unparalleled comfort and durability.
Available now at Boon the shop, Colette, Dover Street Market, Isetan, Opening Ceremony, SSense and other select retailers worldwide.

I don’t have a comment as I think the vetement is only available over there. But can you please tell me what is the largest size of ladies shoes you make and distribute in the United States? I know I can get men’s sizes already. FYI, I will be shopping at the Portland Oregon store. Or Nordstrom. ruthc4463@gmail.com
Thanks, break a leg.
