HERE’S WHAT WENT DOWN AT THE U.S. DR. MARTENS PRESENTS TOUR

The U.S. retail leg of the 2018 Dr. Martens Presents tour has come and gone — and this year’s gigs were, in a word, unforgettable. In a curated showcase of fresh talent from both coasts, we treated New York and LA to a total of seven free shows from the likes of Sudan Archives, Public Access TV, Eleanor Friedberger, A Place to Bury Strangers, Margaret Glaspy, Diet Cig and grandson, and those bands delivered.

Check out our highlights below.

Eleanor Friedberger kicked off the tour in NYC with an intimate 40-minute set, packing our tiny Brooklyn Smith St. store to the gills.

Public Access TV brought their modernized NYC sound to our Herald Square store with openers Honduras.

Margaret Glaspy played an intimate set to a packed crowd — and, true to form, totally nailed a Mariah Carey cover.

A Place to Bury Strangers were so loud, a few shelves came loose from the wall … and they blew a fuse.

Diet Cig served up 45 minutes of high-energy rock ‘n’ roll, as evidenced by lead singer Alex Luciano’s sweaty face.

grandson packed our Studio City store with his empowering, electronic-based rock ‘n’ roll — and the place was buzzing.

The good vibes of Sudan Archives brought the tour to a close, playing her fresh sound to tons of locals at our new Silver Lake store in LA.
