PUNK ROCK BOWLING 2017
Every May, Vegas becomes the most punk city in the world. That’s when tens of thousands of people who love wild, rebellious, fast and loud rock-n-roll — and competitive bowling — hit up Vegas for the Punk Rock Bowling and Music Festival. Now in its 19th year, the three-day festival is a comprehensive weekend experience packed with music, film, late night shows, pool parties and of course, bowling. Is it any surprise that PRB is one of the most prestigious punk festivals in the country?
This year’s lineup was truly legendary, featuring punk icons Iggy Pop, Cock Sparrer, Pennywise and the Bouncing Souls. We were lucky enough to be there with a lounge, displaying some of our best DIY Doc’s and hosting signings from the likes of Cock Sparrer and Keith Morris of Off!, Circle Jerks and Black Flag. Thanks to everyone who came out to party with us and wear Doc’s with abandon in the blistering desert heat — we had a blast. And if you couldn’t make this year, no worries: you can catch what went on over the weekend, below…
We got up close and personal with Plague Vendor, for the second time — the first time was at our Studio City store opening event.
You guys were on hand with the best Mohawks on show.
Keith Morris signed his new book My Damage: The Story of a Punk Rock Survivor.
And we caught Lost in Society on stage.
Chuy Hartman did live drawings of the Bouncing Souls signing at our booth.
And Parisian punks Lion’s Law rocked out on stage.
Did you guys meet Bouncing Soles at our DM’s booth?
The bassist from the Bouncing Soles, Bryan Kienlen even has a pair of Doc’s tattooed on his head.
See you next year, Punk Rock Bowling.
