STREETSTYLE AT PUNK ROCK BOWLING 2018

Every May, Las Vegas becomes the most punk city in the world. That’s when tens of thousands of people who love wild, rebellious, fast and loud rock-n-roll — and competitive bowling — hit up Vegas for the Punk Rock Bowling and Music Festival. This year, the festival turned 20, and celebrated with a sweet lineup, with performances from legends like Rise Against, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Turbonegro, Suicidal Tendencies, and the Dwarves.

Little known fact: dressing for pure, unadulterated punk sound in 100+ degree Vegas heat is an art, and it all starts with a pair of Docs. Here’s some of our favorite looks from PRB 20.

This guy got creative with some DIY jeans, patches, worn-in green 1460s and an original take on a classic mohawk.

This PRB attendee paired her vintage floral pattern 1460s (similar here) with sunflower knee tatts and a Princess Leia shirt.

This couple went for a graphic black and white look, paired with a Double Docs serving of his-and-hers 1490s and an acid yellow mohawk.

Socks plus fishnets plus a pair of well-worn and personalized 1490s.

An A+ use of color, with blue pants, a red belt and pink socks paired with the ripple sole Terry sandal — plus a conversation-starting necklace.

Tall, and taller: purple 1460s, plus two pairs of straight-laced 1914 Smooths.

You can’t beat the combo of a pair of shimmery 1460s (similar pair here) with a frosty beer — especially when it’s summer in Vegas.

Punk rock in the summertime = ripped fishnets, red socks, a pair of 1490s and a Union Jack bikini top.
