A collaboration that goes beyond the boot. As well as a one-of-a-kind 1460 rework, we’ve partnered up with MEDICOM TOY to create six bespoke BE@RBRICK bears. As we look back on DM’s six-decade heritage, we’ve extended this groundbreaking collaboration to include six miniature figurines — one for each different decade of DM’s.
Our 60s Heritage bear erupts from the decade where Dr. Martens began. Built with braces, working-class solidarity, a buzz cut and Ska music on loop. No-nonsense and against the grain — he’s laced up and ready to kick off the next 60 years of rebellious Docs spirit.
The 70s. The era that was a melting pot of alternative subcultures. And the decade they started to shape us. One burned brighter and quicker than the others: Punk. He’s bored. He’s loud. He’s the filth and the fury. And he doesn’t give a **** what you think.
Backcomb. Romance. Leather, lace, fishnets. And Docs. The subculture for the melancholic, the misfits and the monochromatic black. The 80s Goth is the dark shadow left behind by the 70s punk explosion — the non-conformal anecdote to the decade’s shoulder pads and perms.
Flannel: check. Docs: check. Nonconformist attitude: check. 90s Grunge is the misunderstood subculture that was the hairspray and heartthrob hangover from the 80s. Shaped by the outcasts, the geeks and the misfits; adopted by the mainstream.
The 00s brought back the vibrant colours the 90s took away. In an era of electric, feminine empowerment — a new spectrum of DM’s boots was born. And our 00s Kawaii bear has them in every colour.
The 10s. Forward-thinking. Progressive. And not scared to take on outdated social norms. Our 10s Gen Z bear laces up and stands up for what he believes in. Whether he’s in a rally, at the front of the crowd or battling his way to the barriers. He’s doing it in his 1460s.
